My Kind of Western

the canal reviewWhen folks get a free Saturday in the Wild West, they take every opportunity to explore places where horses and cactus are a plenty and trains with loud horns are a thing of the present not the past.

Just this week, my sister, Jadrian and I decided to do the traditional and drive the 30 plus minutes it took to get to a ghost town in Goldfield, Ariz. Did you even know the town existed? I didn’t until I passed it on the way to the lake during a previous desert excursion.

Needless to say it was chalked full of everything western. Things like pokey plants, lots of dirt, an old mine shaft and gobs of country music.

Perfect sister Saturday. I recommend.

Oh and mostly kidding about all folks in the West, in reality the place was bombarded with native tourists. Fun… even still.
